In this full immersion course we teach a systematic approach to guitar making that involves the student in every step of the process. In class you’ll learn how to fabricate all the components, bend sides, carve the neck, assemble the body, and fine tune the set-up of your guitar so it plays beautifully.
Our Tenor Ukulele course is designed for intermediate level students who want a more complete building experience. We’ll make basic instruments similar to the very popular Collings UT1, and material upgrades are available. Some recent woodworking experience is required for this class.
In this intermediate level course you’ll learn how to build a flat-top mandolin from scratch starting with prepared materials and high quality components. We’ll make relatively basic instruments inspired by the early Gibson fat-tops, and the contemporary work of Larry Breedlove. Some recent woodworking experience is required for this class.
